Sharon LoudenHrag Vartanian and Matthew Deleget visit artists in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Ketchikan and Juneau. In addition, Deana Haggag will join us in Anchorage. Organized by artist Pat Shelton. Funding for these events, workshops, studio visits and a publication by Hrag Vartanian by a National Endowment for the Arts Arts Works Grant that was hosted by the International Gallery of Contemporary Art and support from the Ford Foundation, Alaska State Council on the Arts, the Rasmuson Foundation and the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation. Schedule and support for events, workshops and visits with artists from these organizations:

Ketchikan: April 8 & 9 hosted by the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council
Juneau: April 10 hosted by the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council
Anchorage: April 11-16 hosted by the Rasmuson Foundation, Anchorage MuseumAlaska State Council on the Arts and the International Gallery of Contemporary Art
Fairbanks: April 17-21 hosted by the University of Alaska Museum of the North and the Fairbanks Arts Association

Events and Workshops:
Conversations will be Sharon Louden in conversation with Matthew Deleget and Hrag Vartanian except in Anchorage, where we will be joined by Deana Haggag. Workshops will be conducted by Sharon Louden and Matthew Deleget and presented as part of Artists Thrive - a growing national initiative offering activities, practices, language, and visions & values of what it means to succeed and thrive as an artist – and what it means to have a thriving arts sector and, ultimately, thriving communities. Artists Thrive aims to raise the value of artists in every community, set conditions for improvement, and ensure that artists are thriving with support from every sector.

April 9th, 4-6pm: Professional Development Workshop at the University of Alaska SE

Juneau:
April 10th, 5:30-7:30pm: Conversation at the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council

Anchorage:
April 12th, 6:30-8:30pm: Conversation at the Anchorage Museum
April 15th, 2-5pm: Workshop at the Anchorage Museum

Fairbanks:
April 18th, 5:30-8:30pm: Professional Development Workshop at the
